Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift Driver Location: Hartford, CT

Schedule: M-Th, 7:30am- 5pm; Fri, 7:30am - 1pm; Sunday, 9am - 12pm

Position Overview: The Forklift Driver will play a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including the movement, storage, and management of materials within the facility. This position will also involve restocking the store, maintaining a clean and organized environment, assisting customers, and upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities:

· Operate forklifts and RF scanning equipment to manage inventory.

· Restock shelves and maintain inventory organization.

· Clean and maintain the facility, including returning samples taken down by customers and stocking the food pantry.

· Assist customers with carrying merchandise to their vehicles.

· Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.

· Transport materials within the facility while optimizing and securing loads.

· Inspect forklifts and schedule maintenance or repairs as needed.

· Pick, wrap, and prepare orders for shipment.

· Identify and address workplace safety hazards.

· Adhere to production schedules and safety management standards.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED.

· Valid forklift certification.

· Experience operating a forklift.

· Strong physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.

· Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Mathematical aptitude

· Bilingual abilities are a plus.
