Position Overview

A transportation and logistics company is seeking an experienced Charter Dispatch Operations Specialist to oversee charter scheduling and transportation coordination. This role is focused on long-range planning, client communication, driver scheduling, and operational execution for charter services. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing multiple moving parts while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule charter transportation services
• Manage transportation arrangements for schools, camps, weddings, corporate events, and private groups
• Serve as the primary point of contact for charter clients
• Confirm trip details, schedules, and service requirements
• Assign drivers and coordinate vehicle availability
• Maintain scheduling calendars and operational records
• Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, and management
• Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts before they impact service
• Track upcoming trips and ensure proper execution of all transportation arrangements
• Support operational planning and continuous process improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation operations, dispatching, logistics, scheduling, or event coordination
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• Excellent communication and customer-service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Transportation or charter operations experience strongly preferred
• Professional, dependable, and solutions-oriented mindset

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $85,000–$100,000 (based on experience)
