Position Overview A growing organization in the packaging, manufacturing, distribution, and supply-chain industry is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support its Carteret, NJ operations. This role will partner with employees and management across operational, warehouse, and administrative teams, supporting employee relations, performance management, onboarding, compliance, leave administration, and general HR operations
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers
Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and documentation
Advise managers on performance management, attendance, policy interpretation, and employee communication
Support hiring, onboarding, orientation, employee changes, and offboarding
Coordinate employee leaves, accommodations, workers' compensation, and benefits-related matters
Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS information, and HR documentation
Support employee engagement, retention, training, and workforce initiatives
Ensure HR practices remain consistent with applicable federal, New Jersey, and local employment requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, logistics, or another high-volume operational environment preferred
Strong employee relations, investigation, and performance management experience
Working knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with sound judgment
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Compensation & Benefits
$65,000–$95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
Full-time position based in Carteret, NJ
