Position Overview 
The Leasing Agent is responsible for marketing and promoting available properties, coordinating the leasing process, and ensuring a seamless experience for potential tenants. The role involves working closely with tenants to match them with suitable properties and ensuring all move-in logistics, payments, and paperwork are completed. The Leasing Agent maintains regular communication with property owners, providing updates on leasing activities and tenant concerns. 

Location: Dallas, TX 
Reports to: Property Manager 
Employment Type: Full-Time 
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 USD/[Hour 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Advertise and promote available properties using various marketing channels to attract potential tenants.  
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to enhance property visibility and drive tenant interest.  
  • Gather prospective tenants' requirements to match them with properties that meet their needs and preferences.  
  • Provide applicants with information about properties and guide them through the leasing process from start to finish.  
  • Conduct property tours for potential tenants, highlighting key features and addressing any questions.  
  • Verify applicants' income, rental history, credit scores, and references to ensure they meet leasing qualifications.  
  • Screen applicants thoroughly to assess their suitability and compliance with property requirements.  
  • Manage all documentation related to the leasing process, including applications, lease agreements, and tenant records.  
  • Ensure the timely collection of deposits, first month's rent, and other required payments before move-in.  
  • Schedule and coordinate tenant move-ins, including completing move-in paperwork and issuing necessary permits, keys, cards, or stickers.  
  • Maintain regular communication with property owners to provide updates on leasing activities, tenant feedback, and any concerns. 

Qualifications 

  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and 3-5 years of property management experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Moderate experience with Property Management applications.   

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers or employees of the organization. 

Compensation
The published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today’s market. The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate that allows for flexibility to align with various levels of experience, education, and performance.
