Inside Sales Representative
Position Overview
A growing organization is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities through phone, email, LinkedIn, and follow-up outreach. This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, nurturing, and transitioning sales opportunities while maintaining accurate CRM records and supporting overall sales growth. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable communicating with prospects, and able to manage a consistent follow-up process
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for new business through calls, email, LinkedIn, follow-ups, and appointment scheduling
- Review, organize, verify, and prioritize leads
- Qualify opportunities and move leads through the appropriate sales stages
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including conversations, notes, status, ownership, and next steps
- Research and verify contacts and companies as needed
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline
- Track follow-ups, appointments, activity, and weekly metrics
- Communicate professionally with prospects and ensure timely follow-up
- Escalate pricing, technical, accounting, purchasing, customer service, or management matters as appropriate
- Support the sales team by developing qualified, actionable opportunities
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with phone-based prospecting and outbound sales activity
- Strong organization, follow-up, and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain accurate CRM records and follow established workflows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups
- Professional approach to customer and prospect communication
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the sales team
- Willingness to learn products, sales processes, and CRM systems
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually
- Commission: 2% of sales
- New Account Bonus: $500 when a representative brings in a new account or reactivates an account that has not ordered in 3 years, once $10,000 in sales is reached
- Full-time position
