Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Boro Park)
Job Type: Part time or Full-Time
Pay: $55-65 per hour
Varied Shift Oppurtunites during Hours of Operation:
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Comprehensive Oral Assessments: Evaluate patient dental needs in accordance with industry standards and dental guidelines.
- Perform Radiographs: Accurately take and develop routine and diagnostic X-rays (both film and digital).
- Dental Prophylaxis & Treatments: Provide preventive care services, including dental cleanings, sealants, periodontal charting, deep scaling, and root planing.
- Patient Education: Empower patients by providing education on preventive care, treatment follow-up, and maintaining good oral hygiene habits.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and thorough clinical documentation to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with dentists in a team-oriented environment to develop and execute effective treatment plans.
- Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment: Ensure dental operatory areas are safe, clean, and comply with infection control standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Verify the proper functioning of all dental equipment daily, reporting any malfunctions promptly to the Dental Director.
- Additional Duties: Assist with various tasks as assigned by the Dental Director to support the clinic’s operations.
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Dental Hygienist License
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with patients, providing clear and compassionate guidance on oral health.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic knowledge of dental software and digital tools.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively with colleagues and provide outstanding patient care.
- Compliance: Meets all necessary requirements for appointment/reappointment as a member of the dental staff.
