Position Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to support daily store and warehouse operations. This role will assist customers, maintain store organization, support inventory restocking efforts, and help create a positive shopping experience for all visitors.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and enjoys interacting with customers in a hands-on environment. This individual should be comfortable performing physical tasks, maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, and supporting operational needs as they arise.
Location: Linden, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 5:00pm; Friday, 7:30am – 1:00pm; Sunday, 9:00am – 12:00pm Employment Type: Full Time, On Site
Compensation: $16.00 – $19.00 USD per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance throughout the store
- Assist customers in locating products and answering basic product-related questions
- Help load heavy items and materials into customer vehicles safely and efficiently
- Restock shelves and maintain inventory organization by retrieving products from the warehouse as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including common areas, floors, bathrooms, and customer spaces
- Support overall store presentation to ensure a welcoming and professional environment
- Learn product information and store inventory to better assist customers and support sales efforts
- Communicate effectively with team members to support daily operational needs
- Assist with additional store, warehouse, and operational responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior retail, warehouse, customer service, or store support experience preferred
- Basic English communication skills required
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-service oriented personality
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items as needed throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization
- Positive attitude with a dependable and strong work ethic
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on setting
