SPED Teacher 

Location: Surprise, AZ 
Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $29.00 - $54.00 per hour 

Position Overview 
Our client is seeking a Full-Time SPED Teacher to support a school district in Surprise, AZ. 

In this role, you will provide specialized academic and behavioral support to students with disabilities in a K–2 Special Teaching Classroom. Your work will directly impact students and their families by helping create a supportive and effective learning environment that promotes student growth and success. 

Responsibilities 

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs and IEP goals. 
• Implement accommodations and modifications to support student learning. 
• Develop, manage, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). 
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and service records. 
• Support students with behavioral, social, and academic needs in the classroom setting. 
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and related service providers. 
• Participate in IEP meetings, case management, and multidisciplinary team collaboration. 
• Ensure compliance with special education regulations and district guidelines. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field. 
• Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Credential (or eligibility). 
• Minimum one (1) year of experience. 
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably grades K–2. 
• Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and classroom accommodations. 
• Familiarity with SEIS or similar documentation systems preferred. 
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
