Operations Manager

Our client is a growing light industrial staffing firm serving Rockland County and surrounding areas. With approximately 400 active associates placed, the company has built a strong reputation for hands on leadership, responsive service, and consistent delivery. With continued growth, VIP Staffing is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to help drive structure, accountability, and operational excellence across the branch.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing daily branch operations and ensuring alignment between recruiters, business development representatives, and leadership. This position serves as the operational hub of the office, fielding and distributing information, monitoring team performance, supporting account management efforts, and ensuring service delivery standards are consistently met.
This individual will provide hands-on leadership while maintaining a polished and professional presence. The ideal candidate has direct experience within the staffing industry, understands full-deck recruitment, and can hold managers accountable while supporting their success. The Operations Manager will work onsite and remain accessible during business hours to support both internal teams and client needs.
Location: Spring Valley, NY (Rockland County)
Reports To: Ownership / Executive Leadership
Emp Type/ Schedule: FT, On Site – Mon thru Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 USD annually
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily branch operations and ensure seamless coordination between recruiters, managers, and business development personnel
- Monitor recruiter and manager performance, conducting regular check-ins to ensure productivity, accountability, and service standards
- Serve as the central communication point for incoming calls, client updates, and internal information flow
- Support account management efforts to maintain strong client relationships, fill rates, and service quality
- Partner with leadership to drive recruitment performance, operational efficiency, and overall branch growth
- Provide oversight of full desk recruitment activity and ensure proper portfolio management
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow, communication, and service delivery
- Maintain a visible and engaged presence within the office to support team development and operational consistency
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within the staffing industry, preferably in light industrial
- Experience managing recruiters, account managers, or branch level operations
- Strong background in recruitment and customer service
- Ability to lead with confidence while maintaining a collaborative, no ego leadership style
- Polished communication skills with the ability to motivate and direct teams
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Highly organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
The published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today’s market. The salary range for this position allows flexibility based on experience, industry knowledge, and leadership capability.
